I would have to listen to a sports radio station, which usually featured commentary from another game, in the hope of catching any updates on the game I was actually interested in. I found this very distracting, as the radio had to be on all the time &#8211; very distracting if you wanted to watch a movie.<br \/>\nMy skill remains silent until a match event actually occurs. A notification is sounded, followed by the voiced text of the event. This means I can now quite happily watch TV or play a video game without the constant distraction of the radio and comfortably hear how my team is progressing.<br \/>\nNow updated to use Amazon&#8217;s AWS Polly speech engine.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is a new skill I have created for the Alexa device, which is now available on Amazon here (removed).
